ESG is a strategic framework for managing a wide variety of issues, including our carbon footprint, workplace culture and DE&I, and corporate ethics and governance. At Cardinal Health, ESG includes how we treat the people in our company, in our supply chain and in the communities where we live and work; how we treat the planet; and how we consider these factors as we lead our business into the future.
ESG priorities
In fiscal 2022, we worked with BSR™, a global nonprofit organization that works with its network of more than 250 member companies and other partners to build a just and sustainable world, to identify the ESG priorities most relevant to our company, to the healthcare industry as a whole and to all of our stakeholders. We have recently further narrowed our focus to seven key ESG priorities where we can make positive business impacts, differentiate ourselves from our peers and do the most good. These seven priorities are identified with an *, below. (We will continue to report on all 17 areas below as they remain critical to our business.)
